A Philomath and Perpetual Learning
Philomath, where did it come from and what does it mean, and the idea of perpetual learning.
Philomath, from the Greek term philos, a lover of learning and studying - what an attractive thing to be~
I say this because I honestly believe that most anything is worth learning, especially from someone that is passionate and willing. When thinking about the term perpetual in regards to knowledge, there is really no end and this is an idea that has never been brought to my attention until now. I always thought that most things just had a start and an end point, and you are either a novice or a master but never anywhere in between. While this may be true of a lot of things, learning can be lasting as long as we are able. (alive, capable, etc)
What do you want to know? Who do you think would be the best person to learn it from? Do you prefer academics? Maybe you want to talk to someone who has taken a less formal approach through simply experiencing it.
I would be open to either, for both hold worth; although you can only gain so much from the hard living academic that is incomparable to the inquisitive mind. We are perpetually learning the most about the things that we love and the people that love them, make it unconditional, be curious, ask questions, because there is no end.
